Summer is the time to enjoy the outdoors, or at least that’s what we vacationers like you thought. But if you’re anything like me, you crave for the sultry southern weather we associate with spring break or the beach and pool parties during summer. My wife has her eye on a top ten vacation destination in Florida. Why you ask? Well, it’s not because of the beach or the weather, but because of all the fun she can have when she’s not chilling out by the poolside.
Florida is known for many things; sun, beaches, golfing and of course, the beaches and swimming pools. However, there are also some southern charm traits that make this the perfect vacation destination for everyone. I’ll take a moment to explain why I feel that way.
Different Southern Charms
The first reason why Florida is my top ten stop is that there are so many different southern charms you can experience while in the state. Let’s start with the Atlantic Ocean. Visit the Panama Canal and witness the awesome power of the Atlantic Ocean. If you’re lucky enough to get to the Florida Keys and have a chance to snorkel along the famous Keys’ famous reefs, you’ve got a beautiful treat that will last a lifetime. For the less lucky tourists, you can visit the panhandle and experience the wild & wooly life of the Florida Panhandle.
The second reason why I consider Florida to be my top vacation destination is because of all the beautiful beaches that I can go to. Whether you go to the southern shores of Florida or the North Carolina shores, you’ll experience the beauty of unrivaled natural beauty. In addition to beautiful beaches, the North Carolina area is known for many fine craft beer bars.
Other Reasons Why You Choose North Carolina
The third reason why I consider the North Carolina area to be one of the top ten places to visit is because of all the exciting things you can do on your vacation. From world-class shopping to fine dining and of course, great food and music, the North Carolina area has it all. You can get to know the people of the area by attending the local festivals and events. You can even stay at one of the many five-star hotels in the area to enjoy all the comforts and lavishness that only come with 5 star hotels.
The fourth reason why I consider the North Carolina area to be one of the top ten vacation spots is because it has some of the most beautiful beach and road trip destinations. In addition to all the amazing beaches, there are two beautiful chain beaches that I consider the most beautiful in the entire country. These two beaches are the Outer Banks and the Atlantic Beach. Just about anyone that goes to North Carolina can easily spend a weekend getting away from it all and experiencing the beauty of these two little island beaches. In addition to spending time on these beaches, you can also spend a few hours sailing, driving and enjoying the endless amount of road trips that are available.
The fifth reason why I consider the North Carolina area to be one of the top ten vacation spots is because of the world war ii memorial. If you have never been to the area, you are in for a real treat. Right off the shores of the Atlantic Ocean, you can go see the remains of two World War II battles that happened in the area. In addition to seeing the memorial, you can also do some incredible historic research about the history of the area.
The final reason why I consider the North Carolina area to be one of the top ten vacation spots is because of all the beach and road trips that are available. Right off the shores of the Atlantic Ocean, you can head to Murrells Inlet, which is home to some extremely beautiful beaches and a very popular surfing location. However, if you are looking for something a little more inland, you can drive down to Beaufort, NC and enjoy all of the historical sites, shopping and dining that it has to offer. Once you have made your way to the coastal part of the island, you can even enjoy a day or two at the Murrells Inlet Beach Camp, where you can swim with the dolphins, go surf on the famous Atlantic Ocean and experience some incredible civil war history.
